Jack Horne Consulting is a data sciences consultancy based in Portland, Oregon. I work with clients across a broad range of industries/specializations to help them collect, organize, analyze, and interpret their data.
I work with large and small organizations. My goal is to fully embed with you and your data sources in order to help you bring value to your customers and stakeholders.

Methodologies
Some of the methodologies that I specialize in are listed below. It is often the case that your data needs will span across these classifications. Leveraging all your data sources is critical to forming the best understanding of your customers and stakeholders, and my skills in a wide variety of methodologies can help you keep that under one roof.
Survey-based methods
Conjoint/Discrete Choice Modeling; MaxDiff Scaling & Related Tradeoff Methods; Price/Value Modeling; Market Segmentation/Cluster Analyses & Typing Tools/Classifiers; Data Mapping & Visualizations; Key Drivers Analysis; Questionnaire Design & Consulting.
Methods that require interactive deliverables such as Conjoint Simulators and Typing Tools can be delivered as interactive Excel workbooks or as fully-protected web-based applications that I design to your specifications, and that you host on your own web servers or I host for you.
Non survey-based methods
Every organization stores a trove of information about their clients, customers, and stakeholders. These data sources can at times be opaque to end users who need to utilize them to form understandings of their clientele.
Many times this opacity is due to the sheer size and/or lack of organization of disparate data sets. Organizations are good at collecting reams of data, but maybe less so at understanding the data that they have. I can help. Combining data sets (including survey-based sources) for additional analyses/insights, summarizing the output, and building interactive dashboards are among my specialties.
Coding
I am an expert programmer in a variety of languages used in the data sciences field. Some of the languages/statistical software tools that I am adept in include Python, R, SAS, SPSS, JavaScript, and many others. I am a developer/maintainer of several popular R packages. I use these tools to perform the tasks and analyses listed above, but if you have a project that just requires the development of specialized code, get in touch.
Training & Speaking engagements
I am available to train your staff on any of the above topics and others. I can conduct trainings on-site or remotely, and any deliverables (e.g., visuals, slide decks) that I develop are yours to keep.
